- May: Raised in Kirkcudbrightshire, Wigtownshire and a company from Annandale
- Assigned to Callendar's force
- July to October: Siege of Newcastle, guarding the bridge of boats
1645
- May to June: Quartered at Linlithgow, then return to England
- July to September: Siege of Hereford
- Autumn: Return to Scotland
- November: Allocated recruits from Dumfriesshire
- December: Quartered in Perth
1646
- January to April: Quartered at Aberdeen, perhaps detachment at Fyvie Castle
- March: Siege of Kincardine Castle
- Summer: Serving under Middleton
- August: Half the regiment quartered at Selkirk
1647
- February: Disbanded apart from 53 men sent to The General of Artillery’s Regiment of Foot of the Scots New Model Army

On return to Scotland was brigaded with Colonel William Stewart’s Regiment of Foot serving under Middleton.

In April 1644 300 pikes and 600 muskets were ordered to be delivered to Kenmure.
