Until 1646 the Southwark Auxiliaries carried white flags (Illustration 1), thereafter they changed to black flags (Illustration 2). Unsure whether devices are known.

Or Houblon, he fell ill and died in July 1644. Not to be confused with Major General James Holborne.

Lieutenant Colonel to Holborne and probably succeeded him, known to be Colonel in 1646.
