Peticion of James Haswell a Captain of Horse ..has from ye beginning served loyally his late Majestie according to their Commissions almost to their utter ruine and still hath a greatr affecion to your Majesties service
His petition was supported by Thomas Wentworth and Ralph Slingsby who stated that he had served as both Captain and Major of Horse in both the Royal Army and the Western Army until disbanded in Cornwall.
