Sir Charles Coote
Sir Charles Coote senior was one of the Protestant leaders at the start of the Irish revolt. He was killed in a skirmish at Trim on the 7th of May 1642. His son, Sir Charles Coote, 2nd Baronet, also fought in the Confederate Wars and led Protestant and Parliamentarian forces in Ulster.
