Notes
Tyrell was garrisoning Aylesbury with his regiment when chosen to take over command of Col. John Hampden's regiment. He seems to have continued in (at least nominal) command of both units until at least May 1644 when the Lt. Col of his garrison regiment, John Mosely, transferred to act as Major to the field regiment. Tyrell also had a troop of horse in Col. Arthur Goodwin’s Regiment of Horse.
