Notes
Equipped with firelock muskets, they also acted as pioneers for the Eastern Association artillery train. 16th April 1645 the Regiment had 47 pioneers.1)
Coats and Flags
In the New Model Army the firelocks (or some of them) wore tawny coats, whether their previous clothing was also tawny is unknown.

Lt Gen Thomas Hammond
Thomas Hammond was Lieutenant General of the Artillery in the Eastern Association, a post which he retained in the New Model Army.
