Colonel Theophilus Armyn

Theophilus Armyn (1623-1645) Second son of Sir William Armyn (1593-1651) of Osgodby, Lincolnshire, baronet (for whom, under Armine, see Oxford DNB), and his first wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Michael Hicks (died c. 1625). By winter 1644-5 Armyn was a colonel of foot in the Northern Army. On 1 Mar. 1645 he was killed at Pontefract when royalists under Sir Marmaduke Langdale raised the siege.
