Notes
Norcliffe commanded a Company of Dragoons from the 12th December 1642 till the 18th September 1643. Following this he led a troop of horse, so the dragoons may have been upgraded. Both the dragoons and horse may have been part of Sir Thomas Fairfax’s Regiment of Horse. On the 22nd May 1644 he was commissioned Colonel of his own Regiment of Horse.1)
