Flags and Equipment
Three cornets captured at Dunbar are identified as belonging to the regiment. The Colonel's is white with no fringe, a crest of a double-headed black eagle and motto I BYD MY TYME as well as COVANANT FOR RELIGION KING AND KINGDOM set within a wreath. Others were a blue cornet with a blue & yellow fringe, a gold boar's head and COVENANT FOR RELIGION KING AND KINGDOM. The third, likely argyll's troop (tentatively assigned) was red with red & yellow fringe, shield of the arms of Argyll and scroll COVENANT FOR RELIGION KING AND KINGDOME (Illustration 1).2)
