Clan Ross Part of the force of Highland levies led to Inverlochy by the Earl of Seaforth.
Flags, Coats and Equipment
Unusually some details of the unit's clothing survive. They wore red Ross tartan trews and blue 'French' bonnets in 1651.
Notable Officers
David Ross of Balnagowan
12th chief of the Rosses, he was imprisoned at Windsor Castle and the Tower of London until paroled, but died soon after in 1653.
