Notes
Raised as a guard for Parliament during the Second Civil War of 1648. Initially consisted of volunteer ex-officers led by Colonel Rossiter, and was subsequently put on a regular footing and paid ordinary rates under Quartermaster General of Horse Richard Fincher. With the emergency over, the troop was disbanded in October or November 1648.
