Welcome to the BCW Project regimental wiki. This wiki is intended to facilitate research into the regiments of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms and the Commonwealth and Protectorate era and the soldiers who served in them. Anyone with an interest in the military history of this period is welcome to participate.

This is a public wiki. The pages can be accessed by everyone, but if you want to contribute you will need to register an account to gain editing rights and to be able to read or participate in discussion of articles. You can register by clicking the Login link on the top right of this page and following the Register link.

This wiki is powered by DokuWiki, which uses a simple toolbar interface similar to a standard word processor for editing. Registered users can edit articles by clicking on the Edit button on the toolbar near the top right.

A simple markup language is used to format text directly in the editing window. The syntax page gives full details of all available markup. You can use the playground section for practice and testing.

This is the provisional outline for regiment categories:

• Protestant (Ireland)

Categories sub-divide into Foot, Horse and (where appropriate) Dragoon branches, which give links to the regiment articles.
