Notes
Newman provides a history of the regiment and biographies of its officers1).
Raised from Lancastrians, perhaps prior to the disaster at Whalley or perhaps out of the 'refugee' Lancashire horse retreating to Yorkshire thereafter. After Marston Moor the regiment seems to have been swallowed up into the broader 'Northern Horse'.
Flags & Equipment
On October 20th 1643 Quartermaster John Walmsley signed at York for two trumpets for the regiment to the value of £3.

A Catholic of Haigh, Lancashire. He was knighted during the Civil War.
