• May: Besieged at Welbeck Abbey
• November to May 1646: Besieged at Newark

• Surrender at Newark

When King Charles drew out 250 garrison foot of Frescheville's and Wheatley's regiments in August 1645 Symonds noted the combined unit carried four blue and one red flag. As Wheatley's men seem to have been in the minority this implies they carried the red flag.

Died of tuberculosis soon after retiring from the regiment.
