The Cerificate of the Committee of the West Rydinge of Yorke to the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall. That Richard Atkinson the sonne was an Ensigne in Sir Henry Slingsbies Regiment in service for the King against the Parliament. Concerninge the delinquency of Richard Atkinson the father, Richard Roundell, Thomas Wescoe and Edmund Birtt sequestrators for the Wapentake of Claroe doe certifie us, that the said Richard Atkinson seised upon one Francis Abbay (a souldier in the Parliaments service) at Whixley, immediately after the Battaile at Adderton Moore, and caused his horse and armes to be taken from him, and himselfe to bee arrayed by the adverse partie.
