(1) SP23.207.365 Delinquency of John Peacock of Cumnor,Berkshire. These are to certify those whom it may concern that ye bearer hereof Captain John Peacock was a Capt: in ye Regiment of Coll. Samuell Sandys in Hartlebury Castle att the tyme of ye rendition thereof to mee to yee Parliament use,and that upon my ingagement to him,he was to have ye benefit of ye articles whereupon the said Castle was surrendered.In testimony whereof I have hereunto putt my hand the 20th Day of October 1648. Tho. Morgan.
(2) SP23.120.33 The information of Constance Stringer was done on ye behalfe of the Commonwealth against Francis Moore of Severn Stoke in ye County of Worcester Gent. That when Worcester Citty was a Garrison for ye late Kinge the said Francis Moore vizt in the yeare 1644: was a Commander and in armes in that Citty against the Parliament: and did then doe many Acts of Hostility there. Constance Stringer Allowed 20th Febr. 1650.
Symonds mentions that the Regiment was given to Colonel Knotsford at Evesham.

Captain William Sandys was Governor of Hartlebury Garrison.

Excerpt.
One William Sandys Governour of Hartlebury Castle in the said County sent an express Warrant to another,also that of his Captayne Gunter to burne down the house of your peticioner and to effect it the more sowe,he required the Constable of Stowerbrydge to be ayding and assisting to him there as the annexed setts forth according to which warrant it was done,and your peticioner,his wife and many children left destitute of a habitacion and means they being damnified to the least £1000.
