Maule's regiment's service during the First Civil War is rather obscure, consisting mainly of complaints from the English they were quartered upon.
Coats, Flags and Equipment
The regiment’s flags in 1648 are thought to have been red with a white saltire and the inscription Couenant for Religion King and Kingdoms.1)
