Regiment of foot of the London Trained Bands

Three designs are known for the Tower Hamlets. Upto 1643 they used a red flags with white plates (Illustration 1), until 1647 red flags with the 'Iehova Providebit' motto, also differenced by white plates (Illustration 2)4), and from 1647 red flags with white plates and an image of the Tower of London (Illustration 3) 5).
