Barnham was Colonel in 1639, supported Parliament in the First Civil War and is said to have died in 1646.
Died in 1643-4, probably at the siege of Arundel.
John Dixwell, biographies at BCWand DNB brother of Mark, likely took over the regiment, though another colonel must have been appointed in the interim as Dixwell was still a Captain in 1646. He was still colonel of a Kent militia regiment in 1650. A regicide, he fled to America after the Restoration.
