Although known to be yellow, the flag design illustrated above is based on conjecture by Brigadier Young, employing Lamplugh's arms as inspiration. While this appears to be a likely design, there is no direct evidence to support it. Lamplugh's may well have been one pf Newcastle's white-coated regiments 2).
