Later Colonel Robert Broughton's Regiment of Foot
Regiment of foot raised for service in Ireland, returning in 1644 to fight for the Royalists
Often said to have been clothed in green coats on their return to Britain, there’s no clear evidence for this, unlike Colonel Henry Tillier’s Regiment of Foot, their ‘sister’ regiment. However, at the Battle of Marston Moor a brigade of Royalist greencoats is mentioned, implying more than one regiment, that could be Broughton's and Tillier's.
A list of the regiment's officers is shown in Officers and Regiments of the Royalist Army by Stuart Reid (Partizan Press).
