Equipped as Cuirassiers after the Battle of Ripple Field, they were probably re-equipped as conventional harquebusiers after the disastrous Battle of Roundway Down.

The regiment carried green cornets. Sir Arthur's cornet is illustrated above. According to Blount: Sir Arthur Haslerig depainted an Anchor fixed in the Clouds, and the motto in English, ONLY IN HEAVEN2).
