Parliamentarian regiment of foot of the Eastern Association fighting at Marston Moor and later joining the New Model Army
Described as professed Independents entire the regiment were soundly in Cromwell's camp, apparently disregarding orders from their superior officer, the Presbyterian Major General Laurence Crawford.
Red coats lined white 1)2). When Montagu's joined the New Model Army they were issued with 10 new flags in blue. Whether they previously carried blue flags is unknown, but a possibility.
