Later Colonel David Leighton’s, then Sir Hardress Waller’s Regiment of Foot
Parliamentarian regiment of foot serving with Waller’s army of the Southern Association
Possibly yellow coats, a reference to yellowcoats of Waller's army could refer to Potley's or Sir William Waller's own regiment of foot. In the New Model Army they carried black flags and might possibly have done so prior to New Modelling.
Interestingly, they appear to have worn grey coats in 1645, though this does not mean that they necessarily did in 1644. The Gray Coates of Col. Morleyes, and Col. Leytons are put in Col. Pickerings and Col. Wallers Regiments. (E293.23) The Moderate Intelligencer Thursday July 17th-Thursday July 25th 1645. Whether the grey coats refers to just Morley's or both regiments is unclear.

Potley had previously fought in the Swedish army.
